This week's TWD recipe was Double Crusted Blueberry Pie, chosen by
Amy. This pie was delicious! I really liked how the filling came together. I made my pie with light butter in the crust, but otherwise followed the recipe. I think I used too many blueberries, because I didn't know how to measure pints from my 5 lb. bag :) But doesn't the oozing blueberry goodness look divine!?
Good job! Didn't you love the flavor of the berries? Yum.
ReplyDeleteYour pie looks so yummy! Now what will you do with the rest of those berries? I can't wait to see your creations.
ReplyDeleteAshlee!! Your pie looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYour blueberries set up a lot more than mine did. I love the golden color of your crust.
ReplyDeleteWow, your pie set up so nicely!
ReplyDeleteYou were smart to make a lighter crust-this one was decadent with a capital D. Your hummus and greek salads below look soooo good. Wish I could pop by for lunch.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm new to TWD -- joined just a few days ago. The pie looks great! SO very yummy! It looks like you have plenty of blueberries left. I can't wait to see what you do with them. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow in the world did you get that perfect slice? It looks great.
ReplyDeleteOh and with all your blueberries you should make muffins and smoothies.
Divine indeed!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you CAN have too much filling - yours looks divine!
ReplyDeleteI posted a recipe earlier for blueberry frozen yogurt if you need something else to make!!
1 pint = 2 cups, so two and half pints are 5 cups. Or you just grab the pint glass from the bar... Oops, that may be just me!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your pie!
ReplyDeleteYour pie looks scrumptious!

ReplyDeleteYour pie looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, your pie looks so thick and great. I love it when the filling stays intact.
ReplyDelete11 pounds! Yikes that is some great picking. Don't forget to freeze some on a cookie sheet to use later in the year!!
Yum! Your pie looks delicious and I cant believe how firm your filling looks! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFruit pies are supposed to be gloopy...it looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the oozing was the best. That thick, syrupy goo -- yummy.
